Rebounding...

"Geez!!!"...that's my head summarizing yesterday's migraine. I experience a visual aura before the headache hits and was tagged while getting ready for work yesterday morning. Consequently, I spent the day at home but thankfully feel much better today. Now I know it's a stretch to find something positive in a migraine, but there's a certain "abstract" beauty in the visual aura. While looking for online information way back when, I was quite surprised (and relieved) to find  many migraine sufferers/artists have captured the aura experience in artwork. I say "relieved" as it somehow brings comfort to know you're not alone. The photo (above) is taken from the following site: http://www.ironicsans.com/2009/08/migraine_typing.html and is similar to what I experience, but rather than a white spot, I see black.

So today, as I rejoin the ranks of the functional living, I hope to enjoy the weekend and get a few things accomplished around the house. I was delighted to see our little Magnolia tree has begun to bloom along with various lillies....flora makes all things better in my book.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Monday...(sigh)

What's the best part of a workday Monday following a 4-day weekend?....
I T ' S    O V E R ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Although I'm grateful for the time off, it sure was hard getting myself motivated for work this morning. (Note to self: next year, seriously consider taking the Monday following Easter off).

On the homefront, packing up the Easter decorations is on my "to do" list, but may not happen until the weekend. If you've followed some of my past posts, you've probably gathered that some of my favorite things include the quirky, monograms and quotes & signs. A few recent home additions hit most of these categories.

QUIRKY...

I absolutely LOVED this "Sliced Grandfather Clock" by Kikkerland. Sorry for the nasty glare on the picture...here's a link for a better photo if you're interested.  http://www.kikkerlandshop.com/cl24.html

MONOGRAMS...

QUOTES & SIGNS....

All in good fun my northern friends! ;)

Have a GREAT week, and thanks for stopping by

Good Friday...a powerful day!

Luke 23:33-34  When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals-- one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
What a glorious gift we have been given!
Wishing you and yours a blessed Easter.

Fairytale Wedding...

It seems the romantics of the world are abuzz with anticipation of the upcoming Royal Wedding. T-Mobile  shares their version of the grand event (sure to put a smile on your face).

Dear Mother Nature...

Far be it from me to tell you how to do your job, but...could you PUHLEEEEASE give South Texas a break from this wind!!! The poor flora, recently adorned in its spring finest, is taking a beating.  I was amazed to find a few flowers still intact in the backyard.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxed weekend. I was very domestic Sunday and

FINALLY got a few of the Easter decorations displayed...

and...

...baked some cookies. The trade off for trying something new (Soft and Chewy Molasses cookies), is to also bake something tried and true (good old Chocolate Chip cookies).

Wishing y'all a blessed week!

L'Abeille...can you BEElieve it?

Found this little lamp with a burlap L'Abeille lampshade at Tuesday Morning...I couldn't BEElieve my luck!

Managed to get my St. Patty's decorations packed up this evening...Easter decorating begins tomorrow!

My hubby has an out-of-town game (Go Hornets!)...so I'll relax with a nice glass of wine (or two), a good movie and wait up to hear how the game went (hopefully it'll be good news).

Enjoy your weekend!
