Well, it's back to work for me on Monday after being off for 3-weeks. I've covered alot of ground during that time (literally)...spent 2-weeks with my daughter and her husband in NC, getting acquainted with my first grandchild and a week at home to recover. I had high hopes of accomplishing "things" around the house while home, but time has slipped away from me I'm afraid. I did manage to get a few Valentine decorations out along with a few new decorative signs (I'm a bit of a sign freak...my daughter told me years ago I should live on a highway). Another highlight was attending a retirement luncheon for an old friend. I was able to visit with former co-workers, many I hadn't seen in over 10 years. Life is good!

Call me Nana :)
My husband and I have entered a new phase in life, we're grandparents! Our daughter and her husband welcomed their first-born, Jackson Ryder into this world on December 31st. Jackson was born on his mom's birthday, but hold on, there's more. December 31st was also Jackson's Great, Great Grandfathers birthday as well as a nephew, making him the fourth family member to have a New Years Eve birthday. I was able to spend 2 weeks with the new little family at their NC home...an experience that definitely goes into the "life changing" journal.
